We completed MK Food Bank's 2024 Logo Challenge!
What's the Logo Challenge?
Following the success of MK Can, MK Food Bank was tasked with the ultimate mission: to create an appeal that would be just as successful, if not more, in generating donations.
And so, the Logo Challenge came to fruition, where businesses and organisations around Milton Keynes would create their logo out of food cans and other essential items.
All would then be passed over to MK Food Bank who would distribute the goods to those in need.

Getting to work
Creating our logo had its challenges thanks to the rain and high winds that come with British weather. But thankfully, we persevered and got the job done!
We started by shopping for food items in colours black and red, as shown in our logo.
Some of the items we used in black:
- Red kidney beans
- Chopped tomatoes (black packaging)
- Pepsi cola cans
- Soy sauce
- Black refuse bags
- Tomato passata cartons
- Tomato purée
- Marmite
- Noodle pots
- Blackcurrant
And in red:
- Original flavour crisp tubes
- Cans of soup
- Tea
- Meat gravy
- Nappies
- Mamia Organic Red Burst Purée
- Cookies
- Toothpaste
- Long-life milk
- Nuts
Next, we had to build our logo. One by one, we crafted each letter with essential items. The wind was not on our side with those Pepsi cans, who had a habit of straying.
Keeping the letters in place was no easy feat...
...Nor was creating our iconic circular saw in the centre
An hour or so after beginning, our 'TOOLS' was in position, lined up perfectly with our 'UK PLANET' thanks to our awesome TOUGH MASTER Tape Measure.
We used several noodle pots to create the cutting blades, while its little handle is just a jar of blackcurrant jam, some chopped tomatoes, and a tomato passata carton! Creative, huh?
The results
Mild backache and a whole lot of can maneuvring later, our logo was done!

Doesn't it look great? Poor weather aside, we had an absolute ball creating this. As always, we LOVED working with the MK Food Bank guys. It's always a pleasure to help a local charity – especially one as important as this.
